ISPAD will be going to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for its Annual Conference in 2020. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and at the same time the second-most populous city of this country. It is the country's center of political and industrial activities, and a major cultural and commercial center. Once you enter Abu Dhabi, you’ll probably gasp over this amazingly modern city, rich in skyscrapers, malls, top of the line buildings and contemporary roads and public facilities. Abu Dhabi is also among the safest cities in the world to travel to.

ISPAD is both honored and fortunate to have Professor Asma Deeb as the local convener of ISPAD Conference 2020. 

Asma is Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology and Clinical Professor at Mafraq Hospital and Gulf University in the United Arab Emirates but has found time earlier this year to start laying the foundations for next year’s event. In early March 2019 she inspected the venue and principal offsite locations in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by Dr. Sarah Ehtisham, Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, representatives of ADNEC and Abu Dhabi Convention Bureau as well as people from the headquarter of K.I.T. Group in Berlin and its Middle East branch.

ADNEC is one of the highest profile congress centres in the region. The easy to navigate layout, hi-tech infrastructure and intelligent design are simply ideal for the ISPAD Conference. In fact the building is so inspiring you should not be surprised to see some innovative session types and creative uses of communal space at next year’s event.

The registration for the ISPAD 2020 Virtual Conference is handled by K.I.T. Group Switzerland AG and not subject to VAT except for delegates with a swiss invoice address for whom a 7,7% VAT rate is included in the registration  fee.

To benefit from the reduced fee, the ISPAD 2020 Registration Department may request a proof of profession or occupation.

You will receive from us a separate email if needed. The following proofs may be required:

* To be able to register as a student, fellow or trainee, you must present proof of full-time enrollment at a recognised university or college for both the time of registration and during the conference.

* To be able to register as a nurse, educator, dietician or other healthcare professionals a supporting letter with business letterhead, signature and stamp from your Head of Department is required describing your status for both the time of the registration and for the time of the conference. Alternatively, you can submit a copy of your registration or practising certificate or an ID from your institution if your profession is stipulated on it.

* To benefit from the ISPAD Member Registration Fee you should have a valid membership for both the time of registration AND during the conference. Please make sure to renew your membership if necessary (Membership year runs from June 30 to July 1).
