Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Distinguished Guests,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and our international partners, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the Orthopaedic World Congress 2026, to be held in the beautiful and historic city of Kyoto, Japan, from 29 September to 1 October 2026.

Our theme, “A Bridge to the Future”, captures the spirit of this moment in orthopaedic science and practice. We stand at the intersection of tradition and innovation, where timeless surgical principles meet transformative technologies—from robotics and regenerative medicine to AI-driven diagnostics and personalized care. This Congress will serve as a platform to connect generations of orthopaedic professionals, cross-pollinate ideas across disciplines, and build meaningful collaborations that transcend borders.

Kyoto, with its rich cultural legacy and serene landscapes, provides the perfect setting to reflect on our shared past and envision the road ahead. From its ancient temples to its cutting-edge research institutions, the city symbolizes the harmonious blending of history and progress—much like our field today.

The Congress will feature a robust scientific program including keynote lectures by global thought leaders, interactive symposia, hands-on workshops, and networking events designed to foster dialogue, discovery, and development. Whether you are a seasoned expert or an emerging voice in orthopaedics, your presence and participation will enrich the conversation and contribute to a collective vision for the future.

I warmly invite you to join us in Kyoto in 2026. Together, let us build a bridge to the future—one that supports innovation, inclusivity, and improved musculoskeletal health for all.
