Dear EANO members, colleagues and friends,

The 21st Meeting of the European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO 2026) will be held in Rome (Italy). Rome is the capital of Italy and one of the most important and fascinating cities in the world. Founded, according to legend, in 753 BC, it was the center of the Roman Empire, becoming the heart of one of the greatest empires in history. For this reason, it is called the Eternal City, a symbol of continuity and greatness. Strolling through Rome, you can admire unique monuments such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, and famous squares such as Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps, which have served as film sets for some of Hollywood's greatest films. Rome is also home to the Vatican, the heart of Christianity, with St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Today, it is a modern capital that blends art, history, and daily life, attracting millions of visitors each year. The annual EANO meeting will kick off with a multiprofessional interdisciplinary Educational Day with separate tracks on Thursday, September 24 and the main scientific program will commence on Friday, September 25. The congress fosters exchange and collaboration between all stakeholders at all career stages in the field of neuro-oncology with students and professional experts in clinical and basic neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, neuropathology, neuroradiology and radiation oncology as well as nursing and other allied health professionals. It aims to bring together scientific and clinical expertise to bridge gaps in our understanding and management of nervous system tumors.

EANO is Europe’s multidisciplinary neuro-oncology organisation representing all medical and scientific disciplines involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system including neurology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, pediatric neuro-oncology, neuropathology complemented by a vibrant basic science community. The successful 2025 EANO meeting in Prague attracted more than 1500 participants from all continents and was very highly rated!

Throughout the congress, speakers from around the world will share the latest clinical trial results, as well as key innovations in neuro-oncology, from basic science breakthroughs and advances in precision diagnostics to innovative local and systemic treatment modalities.

Save the date for Europe's largest neuro-oncology congress that attracts participants from all over the world!
