Greeting from President
On behalf of the organizers, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 94th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Pharmacological Society, which will be held for three days from March 8th (Mon) to 10th (Wed) in 2021, at Sapporo Convention Center.
The history of pharmacology is identically that of the modern medical development, and the rapid medical progress was impossible without contribution of pharmacology. Modern pharmacology is defined as science to carry through an individual, an organ, an organization, a cell, the level of molecules by various kinds of experimental methods, and to study the interactions between chemical substances and the living body. The pharmacology also includes application to the illness treatment of drugs by drug discovery and drug rearing. Furthermore, in addition to this basic concept, personal optimization in medical care based on drug discovery and the human genome information became the new study domain of pharmacology in the 21st century. However, there is intense concern about the lack of human resources developing and supporting pharmacology in the future with a global level. The exploring continues in the pharmacological community how we bring up a researcher carrying future of pharmacology.
Based on this background, we organize and plan the 94th meeting with the slogan "The Exciting Future of the Pharmacology" to send the charm of pharmacology by publication of the latest pharmacological results of your research by not only pharmacological community but also various situations. In some innovative discovery of pharmacology, development of experimental technology and interaction among researchers in various dicipline must be required.
For the special lectures, we invite experts in life sciences from Asian and Oceanian pharmacological societies. In the organizer-planning sessions, we will focus on the perspectives of new field creation, the collaboration with other life sciences as well as medicine and drug discovery, industry-academia-government collaboration, promotion of diversity, pharmacology education for nurses. For students and young researchers who are the next generation in pharmacology, we provide opportunities where they can enjoy science and find their future in pharmacology.
We will appreciate your contribution to draw a painting of the Exciting Future of the Pharmacology.
