2020年国际微生物学会联合会(IUMS)大会（线上+线下）将于2020年11月16-20日举行，本次会议由国际微生物学会联合会(IUMS)与韩国微生物学会联合会(FKMS)联合组织。IUMS2020包括三个主要的国际会议：第16届国际细菌学与应用微生物学大会，第16届国际真菌学与真核微生物学大会以及第18届国际病毒学大会。来自学术界、临床实践、工业界和研究机构的专业人士将在会议上交流知识与观点，本着共享的精神促进跨学科的合作；与会者将分享知识、信息和经验，使活动成为全球微生物界最大规模、最全面的聚会。
国际微生物学会联合会(IUMS)是国际科学理事会(ISC)科学联盟协会之一，前身为成立于1927年的国际微生物学会，1967年成为国际生物科学联合会(IUBS)附属的国际微生物学会联盟，1980独立并于1982成为ICSU独立联盟成员,ICSU(国际科学理事会)与国际社会科学理事会(ISSC)于2018年合并为ISC。IUMS的宗旨是促进国际微生物科学的研究；发起、促进和协调涉及国际合作的研究和其他科学活动；确保国际会议、专题研讨会和会议结果的讨论和传播，并协助发表其报告；代表ICSU微生物科学，并与其他国际组织保持联系。——未经本站许可，禁止复制转载镜像本站任何内容—领域国际医学会议网。
Dear Fellow Microbiologists and Colleagues,
I hope you are all doing well and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemics.
After much consideration of the current situation in the global pandemic which is unlikely to stop in a few months, the Organizing Committee and IUMS have officially decided to have the event 12-16 October 2020 as scheduled but in a hybrid format: ONLINE for the international participants and OFFLINE for the local participants. The decision has been made for the safety of participants with the first priority and to avoid the inconvenience of quarantine. The way of participation may be changeable depending on the pandemic situation in October.
We have been checking all the technical solutions for online conferences with service providers which have excellent virtual platforms and good experiences. We will let you know the information details sooner on how to make your participation most effective and productive.
We will have almost all of the confirmed speakers including keynote and plenary speakers staying with us and more speakers will be invited in the timely and exciting new topics as in the online sessions.
We, in the Organizing Committee, will do our best to make this new type of conference very interesting and rewarding for all the participants and wish you all to be with us at IUMS 2020 Congresses.

Dear fellow microbiologists and colleagues,
On behalf of the National Organizing Committee and the Federation of Korean Microbiological Societies (FKMS), I would like to welcome the delegates from all over the world to the IUMS 2020 Daejeon, Korea which will take place 12-16 October, 2020 in Daejeon, Korea. Being the hub of advanced science and technology in Korea with its modern infrastructure and beautiful surroundings, Daejeon is truly an ideal venue for the IUMS 2020 Daejeon, Korea.
The IUMS 2020 Daejeon, Korea incorporates three major international congresses: the 16th International Congress of Bacteriology and Applied Microbiology, the 16th International Congress of Mycology and Eukaryotic Microbiology and the 18th International Congress of Virology. These separate congresses will be connecting each other with all current issues and different topics of microbiology in the Bridging Sessions.
This event will be truly an international arena for the exchange of knowledge and ideas among professionals from academia, clinical practice, industry and research institutions to foster cross-discipline collaboration in the spirit of sharing. The knowledge, information and experience will be shared by participants to make the events the largest and most comprehensive gathering of global microbiological community.
We are ready and in good preparation to host the most successful IUMS 2020 Daejeon, Korea, having acquired the full supports of related institutions which include Korea’s Central and Daejeon Metropolitan City Governments, all of 5 member societies of FKMS, academia and companies in the private sector.
