2023年第17届IgA国际肾病研讨会(IIgANN)将于2021年9月21日至23日在日本东京举行。国际IgAN研讨会每两到三年举办一次。会议将就IgAN发病机制和治疗的最新研究成果进行交流，欢迎参与IgA肾病治疗的临床医生和基础研究人员，也欢迎年轻医生、患者以及众多参与治疗药物研发的人士参加。

国际IgA肾病网络(IIgANN)成立于2000年，原为在1967年意大利巴厘召开的第二届IgA国际肾病研讨会期间，由来自4个国家的参与者：Guiseppe D’amico(意大利)，Hideto Sakai(日本)，Tony Clarkson(澳大利亚)，和Bruce Julian(美国)，会面成立的一个非正式小组——IgA肾病俱乐部，目的是提高对该疾病临床重要性的认识，并鼓励国内外在临床和基础科学研究方面宣的合作。IIgANN每两三年在不同大洲间轮流举行国际研讨会，让世界各地区的年轻科学家、医生和学生更容易地参加会议，互动交流最新、最前沿的科学知识。未经许可禁止复制摘录转载本站任何内容-国际医学会议网（lingyuint.com）。

IIgANN 2023 - 17th International Symposium on IgA Nephropathy
Date: September 28 (Thursday) to 30 (Saturday), 2023
Venue: KFC Hall & Rooms (Ryogoku, Japan) 

We are pleased to announce that the 17th International Symposium on IgA Nephropathy will be held at KFC Hall & Rooms (Ryogoku, Japan) from September 28 (Thursday) to 30 (Saturday), 2023. The three-day pre-conference period from September 25 (Mon.) to 27 (Wed.) will be designated as IgA Nephropathy Week, and various programs are being planned and prepared for this event.

IgA nephropathy is the most common form of glomerulonephritis in the world, especially in East Asia, including Japan. It has been still the leading cause of end-stage renal failure (ESKD) in many countries around the world. However, the pathogenesis of ESKD has not been fully elucidated, and many researchers around the world are continuing their studies. On the other hand, many promising therapeutic agents have been developed in recent years, and some international clinical studies are currently underway.

The International IgAN Symposium is held every two to three years, and this will be the 17th time symposium and it has been 17 years since last held in Japan. With new corona virus, COVID19, infections showing signs of slowing down worldwide, we plan to hold the symposium in a hybrid format, with between a local venue for the first time in five years and an online venue. The symposium is planned to invite not only physicians and basic/clinical researchers, but also various stakeholders including patients and young people who will lead the next generation.

This symposium is the most important meeting to present the latest findings on the pathogenesis and treatment of IgAN and to exchange opinions. A pre-conference meeting is also planned to provide a forum for the exchange of information between the many key players involved in the disease and those involved in the on-going international clinical trials in order to bring an effective treatment to patients as soon as possible.

The symposium would welcome the participation of not only clinicians and basic researchers involved in IgA nephropathy treatment, but also young doctors, patients, and many people involved in the development of therapeutic drugs.
