The CAP26 Abstract Program is a competitive program sponsored by the College of American Pathologists. The program is designed to promote a broad range of research in pathology. It offers pathologists and research scientists the opportunity to present original research to their peers in a poster presentation format. Editors from the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine will evaluate abstracts submitted to this program.
The program provides a unique opportunity for authors to enhance research skills, develop writing proficiency, gain practical experience at presenting their findings, and contribute to the literature and advancement of pathology. Accepted abstracts will be published as a web-only supplement to the September 2026 issue of the Archives. CAP junior members who have their abstracts accepted are eligible for cash awards and special recognition as part of the Top 5 Junior Member Abstract Program.
Note: All abstracts are subject to a $40 non-refundable submission fee. This fee will not be refunded for abstracts that are not accepted for the CAP26 Abstract Program.
A virtual abstract program will not be available for the CAP26 meeting.
Abstract submissions are being accepted through 7 PM Central Time on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
