47th Annual SABCS - San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium 2024
Date: December 10-14, 2024

Symposium Objective
This Symposium is designed to provide state-of-the-art information on the experimental biology, etiology, prevention, diagnosis, and therapy of breast cancer and premalignant breast disease, to an international audience of academic and private physicians and researchers.

Scientific Program
The scientific program consists of plenary lectures and mini-symposia by experts in clinical and basic research; selected slide and poster presentations chosen from the submitted abstracts; educational sessions, workshops, award lectures, panel and case discussions and forums. General sessions are approximately 2 hours in duration and are the vehicle for slide presentations, which are allotted 10 minutes each followed by 5 minutes of discussion. Poster sessions are 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. The official language of the symposium is English.  Simultaneous translation is not provided.

Target Audience
This international symposium is directed primarily towards academic and private physicians and researchers involved in breast cancer in medical, surgical, gynecologic, and radiation oncology, as well as patient advocates and other appropriate health care professionals.

1. What is the size limit for an abstract?
   The size limit (including title and body) is 3,400 characters; this does not include spaces.
   
   
2. How many abstracts can an author submit?
   There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author can submit.
   
   
3. How many authors can be listed on an abstract?
   There is a maximum of 50 authors allowed per abstract.
   
   
4. How many abstracts can an author present? 
   Authors are limited to one oral presentation at SABCS. Authors may present more than one poster.
   
   
5. Do late-breaking abstracts require a place-holder submission?
   No, a placeholder abstract for late-breaking abstracts is not required during the general Call for Abstracts. Late-breaking abstracts may be submitted starting September 1. 
   
   Please note: only paradigm shifting basic science discovery, or translational or clinical research of relevance to patients will be considered. Please note that, due to program schedule considerations, most if not all late breaking abstract acceptances will be programmed as posters.
   
   
6. How can I make corrections after submitting my abstract?
   The submitting author may log back into the submission site and update the abstract as much as needed until the submission deadline, July 10, 2024 (11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time).
