Dear Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of our scientific planning committee, I have the great pleasure of formally announcing that the McGill International Palliative Care Congress will take place from October 15 - 18, 2024 at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal.

We have an exhilarating line up of speakers and sessions to represent the humanism and science that make the congress such a unique and special forum.

The 2022 Congress, the first since the pandemic began, presented a much-needed opportunity to connect and to grieve the many losses that we'd faced. As palliative care asserts the potential  for healing through the course of serious illness, we also found healing in being together, in person, for the first time since 2018. So many found refuge in coming together and meeting cherished colleagues from around the world.

In 2024, for the 24th edition of the Congress, we anticipate welcoming upwards of 1,500 people, with even more opportunities to connect, exchange, collaborate and enjoy all the pleasures that Montréal offers. With a blockbuster pre-conference workshop, day-long topical seminars, transformative plenary sessions and rigorous research from around the world, we are working hard to make this the best Congress yet.
