As we continue forward from our first post-pandemic in-person meeting in 2022, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the 57th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology to be held from September 20-24, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida.  As the slogan for the city of Orlando is “Unbelievably Real”, ASHNR 2023 will feature “Unbelievably Real Head and Neck Radiology “ with over 100 speakers covering the scope of head and neck radiology from the content experts you love!  

 

We are excited to present the first joint ASHNR – ESHNR (European Society of Head and Neck Radiology) program with renowned invited speakers and moderators covering topics in Head and Neck Cancer, Ultrasound techniques and Pediatrics that you will not want to miss!  Learn from the experience of our colleagues “across the pond” and make new international connections and friends! 

 

The program will also span a variety of topics starting with our Early Bird Session “Head and Neck Radiology is like a box of chocolates” – you never know what you’re going to get… Bring your most challenging and perplexing cases for our panel and audience to discuss.  The following sessions will cover reviews of anatomy and pathology, infection, head and neck cancer, state of the art techniques, pediatrics and emergencies. It is a jam-packed schedule; however, the lectures will be recorded and available to registered attendees for 6 months after the meeting. 

 

We are honored to have Hugh D. Curtin M.D. FACR present a tribute to the late Peter M. Som M.D.  FACR, FRSM. Please join us to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of one of the giants of head and neck radiology.

We will have a session with our senior ASHNR faculty presenting how they worked through cases that stumped them in the “Senior Mojo” session.  Enjoy learning how recognized experts in the field work their way through difficult and challenging cases.  Our senior ASHNR faculty will also present a series of discussions on leadership and career development, building your head and neck team, adding value, and teaching head and neck radiology in our Young Professional (YPS) session.

Recognizing the critical importance of research to the advancement of head and neck radiology, the program will have two Scientific Sessions. These sessions, the ASHNR Case of the Day exhibits, and the Educational Exhibits will provide additional educational opportunities and opportunities to connect with colleagues and trainees. Encourage your residents, fellows, medical students and faculty colleagues to submit abstracts or Electronic Exhibits!

Connecting with one another is an important part of our ASHNR “family” and we will have plenty of social and networking opportunities with the opening reception and YPS receptions, the famous ASHNR game show, the ASHNR Gold Medal luncheon and the Gala.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cyprus is situated on 1,500 acres in the Lake Buena Vista area, close to Orlando’s many famous theme parks. The family-friendly resort offers an ideal location adjacent to Disney World – kids of all ages will love exploring area attractions.
