Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions

You are invited to submit a late-breaking abstract for consideration for a Poster Session presentation during the SOT 61st Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. The late-breaking abstract submission site will open January 3, 2022, with a submission deadline of 11:59 pm (EST) on January 11, 2022. All accepted late-breaking abstracts will be presented during Poster Sessions on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Acceptance notifications for late-breaking abstracts will be delivered in late-January and early February.

The one-time abstract submission fee is $50, payable by credit card during the abstract submission process.

Authorship and Sponsorship

Authors are permitted as the presenting author on only one abstract for the meeting, which includes presentations for Scientific Sessions. There is no restriction on the number of co-authorships. The SOT Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to require consolidation of multiple abstracts submitted from a single study. Each abstract selected for the program must be presented by the presenting author.

If none of the authors is an SOT member, sponsorship by a Full or Associate member or by an approved sponsoring organization is required. If an SOT member is unavailable to sponsor the abstract and at least one author is a member of an organization approved for offering sponsorship, the author can indicate a sponsoring organization instead of SOT member in the abstract system. By sponsoring the abstract, the sponsor acknowledges that the research has been done according to the SOT Code of Ethics. SOT members may sponsor an unlimited number of abstracts.

Registration includes access to dozens of Scientific Sessions—in person or through remote livestreams. For vaccinated individuals attending on-site, registration also includes access to the three-day ToxExpo, the Welcome Reception, the Awards Ceremony, and other activities.

Continuing Education courses and select other events are available as add-ons for individuals attending the meeting on-site.

Annual Meeting Registration Fees

Continuing Education Courses (AM and PM)

For your convenience, you can register for Continuing Education (CE) courses while registering for the Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. If you have already registered for the meeting, to add a CE course, visit the “My Events” area of your SOT account (log in with your SOT member credentials or those that you created to register for the meeting if you are a nonmember). Select Annual Meeting 2022 and then Add Tracks/Sessions to register for CE courses.

Only individuals attending the meeting on-site in San Diego may register for CE courses. Many of the CE courses will be recorded and made available for a fee as part of the CEd-Tox: Online Continuing Education Program after the meeting.

Registration Add-Ons

For your convenience, individuals planning to attend the meeting on-site in San Diego can register for optional events while registering for the Annual Meeting and ToxExpo. If you have already registered for the meeting, to add a special activity, visit the “My Events” area of your SOT account (log in with your SOT member credentials or those that you created to register for the meeting if you are a nonmember). Select Annual Meeting 2022 and then Add Tracks/Sessions to register for one of the add-on events.

* After February 25, final registration rates apply. No substitutions after January 28, 2022. SOT will accept faxed Registration Forms until March 24. Online registration will be open throughout the Annual Meeting until March 31. On-Site Registration Forms will be available in the Registration area.

** Not an SOT member? Apply for SOT membership by the December 31, 2021, application deadline to enjoy discounted member registration rates. Those who are accepted are notified in late February, when the Membership Committee has finalized their review. You have the option to register for the Annual Meeting now at the nonmember rate or wait until the week of February 25 to register at the Final Registration member rate for substantial savings if approved as an SOT member. If you miss the December 31, 2021, deadline, nonmember 2022 Annual Meeting attendees can submit applications for the March review cycle (deadline March 31, 2022), and upon acceptance, SOT will waive your 2022 membership dues!
