Call for Abstracts Guidelines

SGO encourages all medical professionals who are a part of the gynecologic cancer care team to submit original research for peer-review by the SGO 2022 Annual Meeting Program Committee. Submitters are encouraged to propose groundbreaking ideas or research focused on health equity. Novel approaches do not need significant sample sizes resembling clinical trial design; rather, they should show innovative ways eradicating women's cancer. Objectives, methods, results and conclusions must be made clearly identified within the submission.

Individuals with abstracts that are selected for presentation will be asked to postpone publication of their manuscript in any journal until the conclusion of the SGO 2022 Annual Meeting. Abstracts selected for inclusion in the SGO 2022 Annual Meeting will be published in Gynecologic Oncology. For authors wishing to submit manuscripts for publication in Gynecologic Oncology, the editors will make every effort to ensure that accepted papers are promptly published after the SGO 2022 Annual Meeting.

Trials in Progress

Trials in Progress posters provide an opportunity for members of the SGO research community to present ongoing trials to encourage collaboration and discussion. All phases of clinical research (phases I to III, supportive care, nonpharmacologic interventions) submitted as a Trials in Progress abstract. Trials submitted must be ongoing and cannot have reached pre-specified endpoints for analysis. As such, inclusion of conclusions and results is strictly forbidden.

Early bird pricing for in-person registration through Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 – Regular pricing starting Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. Note that virtual registration pricing has no early bird pricing.

GUEST (IN-PERSON ONLY)  

Guest (Companion/Spouse) $200

Guest registration is intended for spouses and companions of in-person meeting attendees. Member/Non-member registrants may register a maximum of 2 guests. Guest registrations are not available a la carte. The Guest registration category allows guests to partake in all meeting meal functions and social gatherings, as well as attend the Presidential Address and the Invited Guest Speaker Lectureship. Guests wishing to attend the educational portion of the meeting, as well as claim educational credits, must register individually under a Non-Member category

Refunds/Cancellations:

Anyone who registers for the meeting, in-person or virtual, will have access to participate fully virtually. In-person Annual Meeting registrations may be transferred to a virtual registration, and vice versa. Those switching from in-person to virtual will be refunded the difference in price, and those switching from virtual to in-person will need to pay the difference in price. SGO does not allow substitutions for attendee registration cancellation. There will be no refunds granted for virtual registrations or for non-attendance at the SGO Annual Meeting.

No refunds will be granted for the in-person hands-on surgical course, Debulk and Deliver, after March 1, 2022. All transfer/refund requests must be sent via email to SGO@maritz.com or by phone at 864-342-6360. Refunds may take as many as 90 days to process.
