2022年第33届国际外科、消化道和肿瘤科医师协会(IASGO)世界大会将于2022年9月28日至10月1日在土耳其伊斯坦布尔举行。IASGO世界大会将为来自世界各地的外科医生、胃肠病学家和肿瘤学家提供一个分享最新知识和专业知识，交流在外科内窥镜检查、胃肠道外科、HPB外科和肿瘤学领域所遇到的新方法和挑战的绝佳机会。

国际外科、消化道和肿瘤科医师协会（IASGO ）是国际消化外科领域最具权威的学术组织之一，其前身是1988年由希腊的N.Lygidakis和美国的Stazle（国际“肝脏移植之父”）等倡导并创立的国际外科俱乐部（International Surgical Club），现在70多个国家设有分支机构。IASGO的宗旨是聚集不同领域的医学专家、通过一个结构良好、组织完善的持续医学教育系统，促进医学知识和专业技能的全球化，使每位医学专家都能获得同等的继续医学教育机会及最先进的医学知识及技能，并造福人类。

Abstract Submission Guidelines

• The abstract must be written and presented in English.
• All the works intended to present at the congress should be submitted as abstracts.
• Abstracts must contain original data and meet international ethical standards.
• The abstract title and the author(s) or names of institutions are not to be included in the abstract text.
• Abbreviations should be defined in te text than can be used as alone. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full wording at the first time the full wording appears in the body of the text.
• Non-proprietary (generic) names of drugs, written in lower case, are required at the first mention of a drug. Trade names are not allowed.

Instructions for Preparing Abstracts

• Please read the following instructions carefully before preparing your abstract.
• To ensure that the Abstract Submission System will work properly, the pop-up blocker of your internet browser needs to be turned off and cookies should be enabled. Abstract authors should not split data to create several abstracts from one data set. If splitting is deemed to have occurred may be abstracts simply rejected.

1. The Title of the Abstract:

• The title of the abstract must be less than 20 characters. Identifying information such as author or institution names should not be included in the title. Each word should begin with a Capital Letter with the exception of transition words.

2. Abstract Format

• The title of the abstract must be less than 20 characters.
• A maximum of 300 words is allowed.
• Images and tables may NOT be included in the abstract.

The abstract must be split into the following sections:
Background and Purpose: A statement of the hypothesis or research question. (preferably one sentence).
Material and Methods: An explanation of the study design and experimental methods used
Results:A concise summary of the major findings of the experiment or study. Sufficient data must be provided to permit evaluation by the reviewers and public reading the abstracts. Statements such as "the data will be discussed" are not acceptable.
Conclusion(s):Summary of the overall findings and the importance of the study.
Keyword(s):A tool to help indexers and search engines find relevant papers. (Maximum of 5 keywords)

• Title should be no more than 20 words
• The maximum number of authors is 5.
• Papers to be presented at the congress should be in the form of experimental studies, clinical studies and original case reports.
• Authors are required to ensure the accuracy of the abstracts sent. Errors in the literature or scientific facts will be published as written.
• Abstracts should not contain proprietary or confidential information.
• It is the responsibility of all signing authors and investigators that all studies are performed with respect to national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines both with regards to humans and animals.
• Submitting an abstract also certifies that at the time of submission, the scientific material found within the abstract has not been presented at any other meeting and will not be published in other than abstract form prior to the 33rd World Congress of International Association of Surgeons Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO 2022).
• Failure to adhere to these rules will result in the automatic rejection of the abstract.

Video Submission Rules

• Please submit - along with your VIDEO - the textual abstract, following the Abstract Format instructions above.
• Maximum size of the video: 100 MB. Videos should be in a standardized format. Acceptable video formats is: .mp4. Ensure audio is at a good volume, is not distorted, and is recorded in a quiet setting. Do not use audio from the OR unless it is relevant to the content. Name your file with reference ID#, last name, and video title: Example: 9999_Jones_HellerMyotomy.mp4
• Videos must include verbal narration. Narration must use generic terms, and no use of commercial/proprietary names is allowed. Videos must not exceed 7 minutes together with video slided in length. Do not include authors or affiliations in the video or body of the abstract.
• Video Production Reviewers rate the videos based on relevancy of the surgical procedure, production quality of the video, value as a teaching aid for inclusion in the ACS Video Library, and adherence to the submission guidelines.

Please be sure your video(s) comply with the following instructions:

1. Video must be an original production, in final edited form with a clear voice-over in English, connecting the narration with images shown. The video should not exceed 7 minutes in length and background music is not acceptable.
2. Display the video title, name of surgeon(s) and/or co-authors, institution where the surgery was performed, and the location (city, state/country) at the beginning.
3. Any conflicts of interest are to be shown on a disclosure slide following the title slide.
4. The video must be HIPAA compliant. Videos submitted with identifiable patient information or features will be rejected. Please obscure patient name on any images, removing personal information, and blur the patient’s face if it is not part of procedure.
5. If the information is about a clinical case, the narration must provide information about the case such as medical history, diagnostic work-up, and outcome. If the information is about a particular procedure, the video must address the components of the procedure and include information that addresses the various surgical techniques.
6. Do not use copyrighted images, illustrations, or video unless you are the copyright holder.
7. Ensure that text graphics are legible when the video is rendered to its final format.
8. If you are using PowerPoint slides in the video, keep the content at least 50 pixels from the screen edges.
9. Record open surgery using a camera mounted on a tripod. Use longer instruments when possible to optimize visualization.
10. External views of laparoscopy should be recorded with a video camera if possible and not with the laparoscope. When recording laparoscopy, use smoke evacuation if available to optimize image clarity while using energy devices. Be sure to record laparoscopic video in the highest quality possible.

Video Abstract Requirements
The abstract requires a 250-word summary of the video content, five keywords related to your video, and must highlight one educational or technical aspect addressed by the video. You must also choose category which most accurately reflects your video topic from the above table named abstract categories.

Presenting Author
Only authors listed in the author string at the time of submission are able to present. If one of the listed coauthors is unable to present, we will have to withdraw the video from the program

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 33rd congress of International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, which will be held as an in-person meeting in Istanbul, Turkey from the 28th of September to the 1st of October 2022. IASGO 33 will cover all areas of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, and Oncology from a multidisciplinary perspective. Furthermore, this meeting will provide an opportunity for all participants to meet a large group of eminent experts to discuss emerging issues and exchange the latest information in their fields.

Let’s come together to fulfill the unique goals of IASGO to improve the standard of Medical Care by promoting Innovation and Multidisciplinary Approaches for the Treatment of GI Diseases and share the latest medical knowledge and expertise.
In addition to the exciting scientific program, the host city of Istanbul, a beautiful historical and attractive city, is sure to offer all participants a charming experience.

• Before / on 15th June 2022, the registration fee will be refunded deducting an admission fee of % 15 of the paid amount
• From 16th June to 15th September 2022, registration fee will be refunded deducting an admission fee of % 50 of the paid amount
• On / after 16 September, no refund will be done
