世界儿科感染性疾病学会(WSPID)是一个非营利组织，是一个由各国国家/国际感染性疾病(PID)协会组成的联合会。WSPID的主要目标是建立一个全球PID协会网络，以便在各协会之间宣交流信息和知识。WSPID特别希望在低收入国家促进PID协会的发展，并在这些国家促进感染病学的教育和研究。WSPID每两年举办一次科学会议（世界儿科感染病学大会），以促进全球知识和科学交流（未经许可，禁止复制转载摘录本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网）。
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the WSPID Board and the International Scientific Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 12th World Congress of the World Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID), taking place in Cancun, Mexico, on December 1-4, 2021. WSPID had its founding and first conference in Acapulco, Mexico in 1996 and we are delighted to return to Mexico after 25 years. The commitment and enthusiasm of our Mexican colleagues will ensure a memorable event. Cancun is a beautiful coastal city on the Yucatan peninsula with modern facilities and the remembrance of ancient civilizations.
WSPID is the only global society that is devoted entirely to pediatric diseases in children. The conference takes place every alternate year in a locale accessible to colleagues from middle- and lower-income settings. Our Scientific Committee works hard to bring the best speakers and to address the most important issues in infectious diseases that affect children and their families. This is an opportunity to learn of the latest developments relevant to your patients, interact with world experts in all aspects of pediatric infectious diseases, meet colleagues from all over the world and also network to look for new opportunities and new collaborations. As pediatric infectious disease doctors, we have much in common as regardless of where we come from. We share a passion to help children through scientific and clinical acumen to address the immense burden of infectious diseases.
