The SIOG Annual Conference is the leading conference for health professionals involved in the treatment of older cancer patients and provides a unique platform for oncologists, researchers, clinical practitioners, geriatricians, radiologists, psychologists, nutritionists, nurses and other healthcare professionals as well as senior cancer survivor advocates who wish to learn, interact and share results and best practices. It also allows for important improvements in the understanding and the implementation of this multidisciplinary approach when treating senior adults with cancer.

The SIOG Annual Conference is returning to Geneva, its home, to formally celebrate SIOG’s 20th Anniversary!

As the Co-Chairs of the Scientific Programme Committee, we are excited to announce the 21st Conference of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology / SIOG 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland on November 4-6, 2021.

Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to change the SIOG 2020 Annual Conference scheduled to be hosted in October to be a remote 3-hour meeting. In consequence, SIOG 2021 will be a special event, when we will physically meet again to formally celebrate the 20th anniversary of SIOG, with a three-day Scientific Programme at the prestigious International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG).

SIOG is the international leader in establishing the top priorities and actions to advance the clinical care, scientific discovery, and education for healthcare professionals caring for older adults with cancer. SIOG 2021 will bring together the leading experts in geriatric oncology to enhance the knowledge and competence across diverse, multidisciplinary settings.

We look forward to welcoming you to SIOG 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland.

* SIOG Member Delegates must submit their membership number during the registration process.
** Trainees' ID card must be submitted during the registration process.
*** To qualify for Developing Country rate, you must be a citizen of and resident of one of the Low or Lower-Middle or Upper-Middle Income Countries listed by World Bank.  Low-Income Countries. Lower-Middle Income Countries. Upper-Middle Income Countries.

Registration fee for all conference registrations categories includes:

• Entry to all conference sessions
• Access to the exhibition area and poster sessions
• Final programme e-book (pdf)
• Name badge
• Coffee breaks
• Poster welcome reception

Replacement and cancellation policies
Any replacement (i.e. change of participant’s name) of a confirmed registration is subject to a 50 EUR administration fee per participant.
Your registration will be confirmed by letter once we receive your full payment. Cancellation of registration will be accepted until September 4, 2021, up to which date the registration fee will be refunded with a 50,00 EUR deduction for administrative expenses. For cancellations received on and after September 4, 2021, the registration fee will be non-refundable.

Double payment/over payment
In case of double payment or over payment, an administrative fee of 50 EUR is applicable on your refund. Re-prints of lost badges on-site during the congress are subject to an- administrative charge of 50 EUR.

Lunch and refreshments

A Poster Welcome Reception is scheduled on November 4, 2021 and is included in the SIOG registration fees. Please note that lunches are not included in the registration fee. Food and beverage outlets will be available throughout CICG for delegates to buy refreshments. For convenience, lunch tickets may be pre-purchased while you register to the SIOG 2021 Annual Conference and tickets will be provided onsite when you collect your badge and materials.

A single lunch ticket is valid for 1 person for 1 (one) meal. If you plan to eat lunch at CICG on the conference days, we highly recommend purchasing the number of tickets you will need in advance during your registration process as to avoid unnecessary cueing onsite. One meal consists of 1 starter (salad or soup), 1 main dish & two side dishes, 1 dessert, 1 non-alcoholic beverage and tea or coffee.

Pre-ordered lunch tickets will be provided upon badge collection and are valid and can be redeemed at the self-service restaurant located at the CICG 1 st floor. Unused tickets cannot be reimbursed. Note that it will not be possible to reprint lost tickets.
