The 45th International Herpesvirus Workshop will accept abstracts for oral and poster presentation consideration from Monday, 8 February - Friday, 9 April 2021 at MIDNIGHT Eastern Time in the following topic areas:

• Epidemiology & Evolution
• Viral Entry & Egress
• Gene Expression
• Viral replication
• Virus-Host Interactions
• Latency and Reactivation
• Innate and Adaptive Immunity
• Vaccines & Therapeutics
• Pathogenesis and Oncogenesis

SUBMITTING AUTHORS MUST REGISTER FOR THE WORKSHOP PRIOR TO SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT. 

Each Workshop registration includes one abstract submission. A single author may submit additional abstracts for a fee of US $100 per abstract. If you have submitted more than one abstract, you must note this on your Workshop registration form and pay the additional US $100 per abstract fee.

The submitting author must be the same person who will present the abstract at the Workshop. All accepted abstracts will be printed in the IHW 2021 abstract book. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentations. Abstracts selected for oral presentations are also required to present a poster presentation.

If your abstract is NOT accepted for either a poster or an oral presentation, you will be refunded your Workshop registration fee upon request. If your abstract is accepted for presentation, poster or oral, the standard cancellation policy applies.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 45th International Herpesvirus Workshop, which will be held from August 2nd to August 6th, 2021. This virtual IHW will showcase the same high-quality science and provide students, fellows and PIs the opportunity to present their work to the greater IHW audience expected from an in-person workshop. Our goal is to make the return of the IHW a meeting to remember and to be a catalyst to reinvigorate the workshop and bring a sense of normalcy to the IHW family after a one-year pandemic break. 

The meeting will take place from Monday to Friday and bring to the audience a variety of cutting-edge presentations, along with multiple breakout sessions and the more familiar poster sessions and one on one chats and live discussions; all taking place from the comfort of your home or office. We are hoping for a robust meeting that allows the exchange of new ideas and the vibrant and collegial discussions that the IHW has been known for over these many years. We are encouraging all to attend and hope to bring an emphasis on recruiting new researchers and trainees to the workshop. 

Given that the virtual IHW, has a much lower registration fee and there are no travel or lodging costs, we hope this encourages labs to register as many trainees as they can to attend the meeting. We will also have some registration awards for trainees available.

Full Meeting Registration
Includes submission of one (1) abstract, entry to all symposia, workshops and poster sessions, and a pdf of the abstract book.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email. Email: Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com. Cancellation notices must be received  by 2 July 2021 to receive a partial refund, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 2 July 2021. Credit card refunds must be made to the same account used for payment. If for any reason the Conference should be cancelled, IHW 2021 will refund the registration fee. The Workshop is not responsible for the refund of other expenses.

Substitution Policy: If you are unable to attend the workshop, payment of a $25 administrative fee enables you to transfer your registration to another person. You must notify Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com to submit your request to substitute. Substitutions will be transferred at the same rate as the original registration. Substitutions can be made at any time.
