Dear Madam, dear Sir,
It is our pleasure and privilege to invite you to Amsterdam, the capital of The Netherlands, for the 53rd ESPN Annual Meeting in September 2021.
The scientific committee of the ESPN 2021 is proud to prepare a programme of outstanding scientific quality in collaboration with several international societies to stimulate cross-talk between different specialties involved in the treatment of children with kidney and bladder disorders. Experts from our society as well as international speakers will join forces to deliver state-of-the-art lectures, generate debate and identify questions for future research. The programme includes a full spectrum of presentations from keynote lectures, master classes, basic research and tertiary care nephrology to nephrology issues in a more general paediatrics setting. The two-day IPNA-ESPN Junior Class and four one-day hands-on courses will be held before the main congress. Our programme is designed with young nephrology fellows in mind, the future of our society.
The meeting will be held in the RAI congress and exhibition centre, the largest congress facility in the Netherlands and ideally suited for this occasion. Amsterdam is the capital and the largest city of the Netherlands, world-known for its canals in the historical centre, its museums and the open mind of its multicultural inhabitants.
The congress venue is located close to the city centre and at the same time only 10 minutes away from Schiphol Amsterdam international airport, which has direct flight connections to almost all major airports world-wide. It is also easily accessible by high-speed trains from surrounding countries. We thrive to reduce the ecological footprint of this meeting as much as possible - e.g. by promoting the use of public transport and making use of modern technology to replace posters by electronic presentations.
The local organizing team is dedicated to create a lively event that will offer an unforgettable experience for all participants. To this end, up to date communication technology and social media interaction will be employed.
We are also taking into account potential restrictions due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Depending on the epidemiological situation the format of the meeting - i.e. fully live, hybrid live-virtual with a limited number of delegates on site, or fully virtual - will be determined at the end of May. In either scenario all the content will be made available to registered delegates.
Please do not miss the opportunity to become part of this exceptional event and join us in Amsterdam on September 16 -19, 2021.
We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam.
Sincerely yours,
