2020年第23届WONCA世界大会/世界家庭医生大会将于2020年11月26-29日在阿联酋阿布扎比举行，会议由世界家庭医生组织(WONCA)，阿联酋家庭医学会联合举办，届时将有来自全球100多个国家的4000余名全科医学／家庭医学领域的知名专家、学者及相关专业人士参会。Wonca将为所有的参与者提供一个有价值有意义的学术文化体验交流平台。
世界家庭医生组织(WONCA)全称为世界全科医生/家庭医生国立学院、大学和学术学会组织，WONCA是其英文全称前五个单词首字母的缩写(World Organization of National Colleges，Academies and Academic Association of General Practitioners/Family Physicians)。WONCA于1972年在澳大利亚墨尔本举行的第五次世界大会上正式宣布成立，是全世界全科/家庭医师的学术组织。WONCA按地区分为亚太、欧洲、北美、非洲、南亚、东地中海等区域组织-宣译；中国于1994年成为WONCA的正式成员国。WONCA的使命是通过界定和促进其价值观，包括尊重普遍人权和包括性别平等，以及通过在全科医学/家庭医学中促进高标准的护理来提高世界人民的生活质量。WONCA每3年召开1次世界大会，为全科/家庭医师提供学术交流和知识更新的平台(未经本站许可，禁止复制摘录镜像本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网)

Dear friends and colleagues,
Whilst putting the health and safety of WONCA members, attendees, faculty, partners, and staff as our top priority, we closely monitored the updates on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and worked with all stakeholders involved in exploring possible options. lingyuint.We also examined on-going global implications as well as international travel and public gathering restrictions.
It has become increasingly clear that it will not be possible to proceed with an in-person physical WONCA World conference in Abu Dhabi in November 2020, as planned. It has therefore been decided by the Organizing Committee in consultation with WONCA World Council, that the WONCA World Conference 2020 – Abu Dhabi, will be postponed to 2021.
The new dates at the same venue (ADNEC - Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) for WONCA 2021 will be 21st to 23rd November 2021 for Council meetings and 25th to 28th November 2021 for the World conference.
The conference planning, local host and international scientific committees remain devoted to bringing together the worlds family doctors to learn the latest from one another, and continue to work hard to produce the biggest and best WONCA conference ever, and we looked forward very much to welcoming you all to our region in 2021 and being able to showcase our facilities and PHC system – as well as offering WONCA a conference never to be forgotten.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation for the continued support and understanding of all our partners and friends from around the world and look forward to welcome you and other colleagues next year in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

I’m delighted, as WONCA President, to contribute this message to the website for WONCA 2020 in Abu Dhabi. WONCA world events are key highlights of our calendar, providing a chance for us to get together with old friends and new, exchange ideas and experiences and to learn from each other. All of this will take place in Abu Dhabi in November 2020, during WONCA’s 23rdWorld Conference. But it’s also an exciting “first” as it will be the first time that the world event has taken place in WONCA’s newest region – the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR).
Like all WONCA events there will be excellent scientific and cultural programmes, and we also look forward to contributions from our colleagues in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region Office (EMRO). WONCA has had an excellent ongoing relationship with WHO EMRO extending over many years, resulting most recently in our joint publication – “Family Practice in the Eastern Mediterranean Region: Universal Health Coverage and Quality Primary Care” – edited by Michael Kidd and Hassan Saleh (WHO).
I encourage you all to note the dates of this important event in your diaries – 25th to 29th November 2020 at the ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. I look forward to meeting you there!
