2020年第53届生殖研究学会年会将于2020年7月9-12日在加拿大渥太华举行。

Welcome Message from the President and Program Co-Chairs

Hello SSR Members! Start planning to attend the 53rd SSR Annual Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The meeting’s theme, “Reproductive Biology: Solutions for Adult Disease” will have an outstanding series of Plenary and Keynote presentations by Drs. Kent Thornburg, Evelyn Telfer, Giuliano Testa, Nicolas Rivron, Robin Lovell-Badge, and Kathryn Clancy, including talks on the role of the placenta in offspring health and disease, modelling pre- and peri- implantation developmental events with blastoids, sex determination, in vitro folliculogenesis, uterine transplantation. A collaboration between the Diversity Committee and the SSR 2020 Program Co-Chairs will bring a talk about the science of gender harassment which seeks to educate and inform the SSR membership on factors affecting scientific culture. As Program Co-Chairs, Rebecca Krisher and Jannette Dufour promise a diverse and exciting program for the 53rd SSR Annual Meeting.

The meeting begins on the 9th of July with a Keynote address and the Opening Reception. On the 10th-12th Concurrent Focus Sessions will follow morning poster sessions. Concurrent Focus Sessions will allow attendees to choose from a range of provocative topics. Each Focus Session will include 1-2 invited talks and 2-3 short talks selected from abstract submissions. In addition, flash talks will be highlighted in the Focus Sessions on the first full day of the meeting. Thus, this year’s meeting will provide even more opportunities for trainee and early-stage investigators to present their cutting edge research.

New this year, we will have panel discussions on Gene Editing and Inclusivity in STEM. Working with recommendations from Society membership, the Program Committee has chosen focus session speakers from within and outside of SSR to present novel research on a wide range of topics in reproductive biology.

We encourage you to join us and your colleagues to share exciting new data and network with colleagues and friends from over 30 countries. See you in Ottawa!

• Attendance at all scientific sessions.
• Attendance at the Opening Reception (Guest are additional cost)
• Attendance at the Trainee Forum (Trainees only, attendees must indicate attendance on the registration form to receive refreshments).
• Attendance at the Closing Ceremonies (Guest are additional cost)
• Breakfast and afternoon beverage breaks, Friday – Sunday.
