Dear friends,
It is my privilege to invite you to attend the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons from November 8th to 12th, 2020 in Tainan, Taiwan. This meeting marks the first return of PAPS to this beautiful Asian island since our annual meeting in Taipei in 2006. Dr. Yun Chen and her local organizing committee have created a special social program that will give us all a flavour of the culture and geography around this ancient capital city. The COVID-19 virus situation has forced us to postpone our meeting a few months but we fully expect to go forward come this November.
For those who have not attended a PAPS Meeting before, you can look forward to a veritable feast of activities, including a strong scientific program and a rich cultural experience on this historic island. The PAPS Annual Meeting is recognized for its unique traditions, welcoming spirit, and the camaraderie of pediatric surgeons from around the Pacific Rim and beyond. For those of you returning to PAPS, this meeting promises to be a wonderful opportunity to renew old friendships and meet new colleagues.
Under John Meehan’s direction the program committee is assembling a scientific program that includes the breadth of clinical and basic science work related to pediatric surgery. If you have not done so already, please consider submitting an abstract for the meeting.
