国际病理学会(IAP) 前身为1906年成立的国际医学陈列馆联合会( International Association of Medical Museums,IAMM)，1955年更名为国际病理学会(IAP)。IAP致力于通过全球教育交流促进病理学的发展，主要任务是从事改进医学院校、实验室、医院、医学博物院等部门的病理教学方法；协调解剖病理学、病理生理、比较病理学与相近科学技术的关系；加强病理学及病理技术的研究；协助各国成立全国及区域性组织；出版刊物及报告；组织会议，加强信息、思想交流。IAP每两年召开一次国际大会。
欧洲病理学会（ESP）成立于1964年，是欧洲病理学领域的领导者。作为一个学习型学会，ESP的主要目标是促进高质量的诊断实践、应用和转化研究以及在人类病理学领域的研究生教育。ESP每年主办欧洲最大最具影响斩的病理学年会——欧洲病理学大会(ECP)。
The ESP/IAP Congress 2020 will be delivered as a virtual event!
As a result of the non-availability of the Scottish Event Campus recently communicated (see link below), the joint XXXIII Congress of the International Academy of Pathology and 32nd Congress of the European Society of Pathology scheduled for Glasgow for 6 to 8 December 2020 will now be delivered as a virtual event. This is an exciting opportunity for the global pathology world to experience this innovative methodology in such a wide ranging way for the first time.
The exact format of the virtual ESP-IAP Congress 2020 is being confirmed by the joint organisers, the ESP and the British Division of the IAP, with our professional congress organisers, CPO HANSER SERVICE, and will be communicated as soon as possible.
All existing registrations will be carried forward, although those delegates who do not wish to participate in a virtual conference will receive full reimbursement. The content of the meeting will be largely unchanged, with the addition of dedicated sessions for the evolving pathology of Covid-19 infection.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be given the opportunity to present their work as communicated in the abstract notifications - and will soon be contacted with further details.

Dear Colleague, the XXXIII International Congress of the International Academy of Pathology and the 32nd Congress of the European Society of Pathology will, as in 2016, be organised as a joint venture between the BDIAP and ESP. It will be held, from 29 August to 4 September 2020, in the Scottish Events Campus, in Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow is Scotland’s Scotland’s largest city and is located on both sides of the River Clyde. The University of Glasgow is one of Europe’s oldest, established in 1451, and largest universities. Glasgow is a major cultural centre for Scotland and was the European City of Culture in 1990.
On behalf of the International Academy of Pathology and the European Society of Pathology we would like to invite you to join us in Glasgow for an exciting and stimulating congress that will reflect recent developments in diagnostic and molecular pathology.
The motto of the Congress – Glasgow 2020: A Vision for the Future – will reinforce the future role of pathology as a strong partner for the different clinical specialties. The scientific programme will include science, translational research and clinical application to provide delegates with information on recent research findings, new technologies and up to date education.
In addition to providing an interesting scientific and educational programme the IAP/ESP 2020 meeting will serve as a get-together for pathologists and scientists from all over the world in a friendly atmosphere. The delegates are kindly invited to see all the various bars and restaurants serving the local uisge beath (whiskey)

* In good standing (membership fee for 2020 paid). Please note that the member fee can only be granted if you are a member of the ESP/IAP at the time of registration. If you are not a member yet, you need to apply for membership first and once you have received your ESP/IAP membership confirmation, you can register at the member fee.
** For residents/PhD students under 40 (i.e. born after 29 August 1980 - to be proven by ID card/passport). The resident/PhD student status must be confirmed by a formal declaration in English language from the Head of Department or the responsible for the training programme. All documents need to be uploaded during the registration process.
