Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Lisbon, a city close to the edge of Europe! In fact, near the city, at Cabo da Roca, we find the westernmost point of Europe.
It is in Lisbon where we are proud to welcome the ESGE 29th Annual Congress, taking place from the 11th – 14th October 2020. We have been through this adventure back in 2002 when the ESGE Congress was also organized in this city.
With 2020 promising to be a remarkable year, let us make this 29th Annual Congress an outstanding milestone in the history of our Society.
Some state there is nothing left to invent or innovate in our surgery: let us take up this challenge!
Following the congress theme Looking Beyond the Curtain, we are preparing a programme in which innovation meets and successfully merges with the deepest, strongest and most diverse qualities of participants, speakers and surgeons. So, we hope. Hot topics, live surgeries and GESEA certification will all be part of this congress.lingyuint. The Scientific Chairs will be supported by Prof. Helder Ferreira, Dr. Susana Maia, Dr. Filipa Osorio and Dr. Luís Vicente.
