2020年第39届欧洲小儿骨科学会(EPOS)年会将于2020年7月8-11日在葡萄牙波尔图举行，预计有来自世界各地的1000余名专业人士与会。
欧洲小儿骨科学会(EPOS)成立于1981年，最初由5名小儿骨外科医生组成的团队在法国巴黎成立。第一次EPOS会议在巴黎举行，有13名外科医生参加了会议。如今EPOS在全球拥有300多名外科医生成员。EPOS的使命是促进儿童骨科各个方面特别是在临床实践、科学研究和教育领域的发展，提高骨科患儿的护理质量（未经本站许可，禁止复制摘录转载本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网）。
Dear EPOS Members, colleagues and friends,
We hope this letter finds you well.
Given the current global situation on COVID-19 pandemic and its uncertainty, EPOS has sadly decided to cancel the 39th Annual meeting. The Annual meeting will be held in Porto, Portugal from 14 April to 17 April 2021, at the same venue, The Alfandega Porto Congress Centre.
EPOS Executive Committee, together with the Local Committee, has been meeting daily, monitoring and assessing the situation in many European countries and overseas. Based on the guidance of World Health Organization, The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and local authorities, the EPOS Executive Committee has taken this decision unanimously. Although this is unprecedented in the history of EPOS, our priority is to guarantee the health and safety of our Members and those around us.
At present, the further development of the exceptional circumstances of this health crisis is unforeseeable. Therefore, in order to comply with legislation and continue the Societies’ internal affairs, EPOS will be organizing a virtual General Assembly. We will inform our members about the details of this meeting in due time. We hope that many of you can join us.
We appreciate your understanding and ask you friendly to allow us time to process any request regarding registration and/or sponsorship fee refund. As the cancellation of the Annual meeting will have financial consequences for the Society, we would appreciate if you could consider transferring your registration fee to next year rather than requesting a refund.
We thank you all for your long-standing ongoing support and your patience.
