Dear American Spinal Injury Association Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the ASIA Board of Directors, we very much appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. We apologize for not being able to share more information with you earlier, but please understand that to allow our organization the best opportunity possible to adjust and proceed with our meeting in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were restricted in our ability to communicate the rapidly changing details.

Thank you for the sacrifices you are all making to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We can now share that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in ASIA’s 50 year history we have cancelled the 2020 ASIA Annual Meeting scheduled for May 3-6, 2020; the new meeting dates are October 4-7, 2020. We are thrilled that we will still be able to convene our annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana and at the same location as planned. Details are being finalized and will be communicated in the next few days through email and on the ASIA website. Please mark your calendars for the following:

October 4, 2020 – Precourse
October 5-7 – Scientific Meeting
New Orleans Marriott
New Orleans, LA    

In these difficult times, we hope our society can pull together to adjust and adapt to the above changes. We will endeavor to confirm the availability of presenters at the meeting for the new dates, hoping to keep the great scientific program largely unedited.  We have an exciting program planned and look forward to seeing you in New Orleans in October!

In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and support, and wish you, your colleagues and families good health and resilience.

If you are already registered for the ASIA 2020 conference, your registration will be applied to the new dates.  If you are unable to attend the October conference, kindly let us know by 1 August 2020.  ASIA will honor the refund policy of 80% by August 1.
