2020年第25届亚太呼吸学会(APSR) 年会/大会将于2020年10月15日至18日在日本京都举行，本次会议由日本呼吸学会(JRS)和亚太呼吸学会(APSR)联合举办。APSR年会是亚太地区最大的呼吸医学会议，每届年会均会吸引来自中国、澳大利亚、日本、韩国、新西兰、印度以及东南亚等国家与地区数千多名呼吸领域的科学家与医生参会，是各国呼吸病研究者获取新知识与新技术的学术盛会。自1988年召开第一次大会以来，APSR大会已成为一个全球性的年度会议，会议议题涵盖肺和重症监护医学以及睡眠呼吸障碍，包括慢性阻塞性肺疾病、哮喘、肺癌、慢性和急性呼吸衰竭、间质性肺疾病、肺炎、支气管扩张、戒烟、呼吸康复，空气清洁、防治空气污染等等。——未经许可，禁止复制摘录转载本站任何内容-领域国际医学会议网。

Announcement of the postponement of APSR 2020 to November 2021
As the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is becoming worldwide outbreak and increasingly severe, after monitoring the situation very closely, the APSR has decided to postpone the 25th Congress of the APSR to the fall of 2021. It will now be taken place on 18 – 21 November 2021 at the Kyoto International Conference Center (same venue of original plan). Eventually, the 26th Congress of the APSR in Seoul, Korea will also be postponed to 2022.

Welcome to APSR 2020
It is with great pleasure to announce that the 25th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR 2020) will take a place at the Kyoto International Conference Center, in the World Heritage Site of Japan's Ancient Capital “Kyoto”, which will be held at the beginning of the beautiful fall season, dated on the 15th to 18th, October 2020.
We are making plans for APSR 2020 by shedding light on “come together” to discuss “our future”. Firstly, 20 different symposia organized by young doctors called “emerging talent symposia” to nurture and encourage them; secondly, symposia at which experts from industry, government and academia can come together to debate current and future strategies for uncovering mechanisms and providing therapy for various respiratory diseases; thirdly symposia for debating ambient and household air-related health; and finally, symposia for discussing career plans that can provide all individuals with equal opportunity. We intend to ensure APSR 2020 is an innovative and beneficial event that will cover issues including the training and development of the next generation of Respirologists, not only harnessing the vigor present in academia but also in industry, and the dissemination of information from the Asia-Pacific region to the rest of the world.
In the calm and serene setting of the ancient capital, Kyoto, as the leaves start changing color in autumn, we hope the APSR2020 will help everyone contemplate their future, the future of respirology and find inspiration to take a step forward to reach future aspirations.
