80th Scientific Sessions – Virtual
Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the American Diabetes Association has made the decision to transition the June 12-16, 2020 Scientific Sessions from a live, in-person meeting to a virtual meeting over the same dates. Although we would prefer to offer an in-person meeting, protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members, attendees, and staff is paramount.
We are committed to transforming this year’s gathering into a virtual experience designed to bring forth the latest, groundbreaking science that you have come to expect, while also reflecting on 80 incredible years of advances.
- You will have the opportunity to chat live with the speakers during their presentations (during the original scheduled times) to get all your questions answered. Note: The live chat function does not apply to oral or poster sessions.
- Don’t let time zones or your schedule hinder you from registering. All sessions will be pre-recorded and will be released during the original scheduled times and will be available after that to view at anytime you wish. In addition, all registered attendees will receive unlimited access to all virtual content for 90-days after the meeting. Learn on your own time and terms—from the comfort of your home, office, while traveling, or wherever you choose!

Registration Changes or Cancellations for ADA Virtual 80th Scientific Sessions
- Name changes and substitutions are not permitted.
- Registration Fees and Membership Fees are non-refundable once purchased.

The Scientific Sessions offers researchers and health care professionals an amazing opportunity to share ideas and learn about the significant advances in diabetes research, treatment, and care. Over the course of five days, attendees will receive exclusive access to more than 2,800 original research presentations, take part in provocative and engaging exchanges with leading diabetes experts, and expand professional networks with over 15,000 attendees from around the world.
The program will start on Friday, June 12 at 11:30 a.m., and conclude on Tuesday, June 16 at 12:15 p.m.
