The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons invites you to attend the 41st Annual Meeting of the AAES at the Westin-Sheraton Hotel and Jefferson-Birmingham Convention Complex located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Meeting will take place from Saturday, April 4 through Monday, April 6, 2020. Please note that this year’s schedule is shifted one day earlier (Saturday) and will be running through 3:00 p.m. on the last day (Monday) to allow for more exciting content. 

As always, the Meeting will feature our traditional scientific sessions for oral and poster presentations as well as the Presidential Invited Lecture and the Orlo and Carol Clark Distinguished Lecture in Endocrine Surgery.  This year, we will also be hosting symposia on wellness, diversity and inclusion, business in surgery, interesting case presentations, and a new quick shot poster session to allow more presenters to the podium.

Additionally, the AAES will again be hosting the Advanced Endocrine Surgery Course as an opportunity to review current standards in management of complex endocrine diseases, while engaging on a personal level with nationally recognized authorities in the field.  The Course will be structured as case presentations to a multi-disciplinary panel of experts in the area of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease. This will be offered to attendees on the Friday preceding the Meeting (April 3). Our Fellows will also receive the latest updates in Endocrine Surgery by an outstanding Faculty at the 11th Annual Endocrine Surgery University!

The Birmingham area and its beautiful climate will allow for our always popular golf and tennis tournaments. Birmingham and the surrounding area present some fun opportunities for daytime and evening events to enjoy with your AAES friends and your family – look to the AAES website for highlights of social events in the upcoming months.
