MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Diabetic Limb Salvage Conference is a multidisciplinary team approach meeting that provides each member of the healthcare team with the education and resources needed to heal wounds and prevent amputations. It features a prominent international faculty that promotes the importance of a multispecialty approach in limb salvage. The course is designed for healthcare practitioners of all specialties and promotes an evidence-based approach with emphasis on take-home points, techniques, and functional outcomes. The meeting format will include didactic lectures, specialty symposia, and video surgical case demonstrations for the purpose of providing an interactive learning experience.
This conference is intended for diabetes and wound care specialists, vascular surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, podiatric surgeons, plastic surgeons, endocrinologists, family practice physicians, infectious disease specialists, cardiovascular and endovascular specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, nurses, peripheral nerve specialists, certified diabetes educators, and other members of the healthcare team involved in diabetic foot and limb salvage.
