2018年第57届粒子治疗合作小组(PTCOG)年会将于5月21日至5月26日在美国俄亥俄州辛辛那提市举行。本次会议将与PTCOG北美分会第届年会同期举办，由辛辛那提儿童医院医疗中心，辛辛那提大学和辛辛那提医学中心共同主办，预计将有超过1000名来自世界各地的专业人士与会，与会者包括医生、物理学家、生物学家、基础科学家、护士、放射治疗师，剂量师，管理人员和行业专业人士等等。
国际粒子治疗协作委员会(PTCOG)成立于1985年，是一个由对质子、轻离子和重带电粒子放射治疗感兴超的科学家和专业人士组成的非营利性国际组织。PTCOG的使命是促进粒子治疗的科学、技术和实际临床应用，最终目标是最终目标是在放射疗法中尽可能提高癌症治疗水平。
PTCOG 57 kicks off with the Educational Session from May 21-23. The Educational Session provides a comprehensive overview of physics, technology, radiation biology and medicine as it relates to particle therapy, from its origins to modern technologies and practices. After concluding the Educational Session, the Scientific Session commences, from May 24-26. The Scientific Session includes invited and submitted oral and poster presentations, covering all major sub-topics within particle therapy, including but not limited to medical physics, engineering, biology, medicine, and translational science. The theme of the meeting is:“Translating Science and Technology into Cancer Cures.” In addition to the oral and poster presentation format, special keynote sessions and invited panel discussions are designed to highlight and reinforce the theme of translational research and development.
PTCOG 57 is appropriate for a wide range of disciplines within the field of oncology. Physicians, physicists, biologists, basic scientists, as well as nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, administrators and industry professionals, are cordially invited to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art Cincinnati Proton Therapy Center, a collaboration between Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Attendees are also invited to attend a Gala Event at a private space in Great American Ballpark to watch the Cincinnati Reds play the Pittsburgh Pirates, located in Cincinnati’s Banks Entertainment district, steps from all the excitement the Cincinnati waterfront has to offer.
