国际头颈肿瘤学会联盟(IFHNOS)由美国纪念斯隆-凯特琳癌症中心(MSKCC)头颈外科主任Jatin P. Shah于1987年组织建立，现已发展成为一个代表全球65个国家和区域的53个头颈肿瘤专业组织成员的全球性组织。IFHNOS的宗旨是为从事头颈部癌症领域的专家提供一个互动的平台，加强信息交流，提高知识，探索头颈癌患者诊断、治疗和康复的新方向。IFHNOS自1998年开始每4年举办一次世界大会。
This will be a wonderful international head and neck meeting with the participation of more than 50 countries and we anticipate an attendance over 1,000 participants. I am sure you will be touched by the Argentinian hospitality and wonderful arrangements made by Marcelo Figari and his team in Buenos Aires.
