欧洲危重病医学会（ESICM）成立于1982年，是一个非营利性的国际协会，在全球拥有超过8600名会员。ESICM支持和促进危重病医学知识的进步，特别是通过教育、研究和专业发展，为危重病患者及其家属提供最高标准的多学科护理。
欧洲重症医学年会(LIVES)是由ESICM主办的欧洲重症医学领域规模最大、学术水平最高的国际性会议，是全球重症医学界最重要的两大年会之一，每年都会吸引来自各大洲90多个国家的6000余名医生、麻醉师、学员、护理人员和相关专业人士代表。领域国际。ESICM年会采取平行会议的形式，包括上千场次的讲座、演讲、辩论、圆桌讨论、辅导和互动式教育会议，受邀的演讲者都是行业内国际知名的专家，为来自世界各地的与会者提供一个交流、分享有关危重病的治疗、诊断、研究成果和经验的机会。2018年，将有300名世界一流的演讲者出席第31届ESICM Lives 年会。
A world-renowned faculty of 300 international speakers will be joining the Society’s 31st annual congress at the Palais des Congrès, Paris from 20-24 October 2018.
In addition to a stimulating and exhaustive scientific programme, there will be over 60 poster corner sessions, 10 parallel scientific sessions, 12 educational courses, 20 interactive sessions with live voting, 16 interactive debates, 18 sessions in the very popular Simulation Centre, NEXT Lounge and Tech Lounge, as well as the major congress exhibition and networking possibilities in our Members’ Lounge and the social programme.

Registration Name Change
A handling fee of 15 EUR will be charged for every name change to an existing congress registration. A new registration form for the substitute attendee should be submitted, as well as a proof for the reduced fee if applicable. Name changes will only be accepted until the pre-registration deadline (11 October 2018) indicating clearly the new and old name. After the pre-registration deadline, all name changes must be carried out on-site.
The same rule applies to name changes made by groups after the group registration deadline on 4 October 2018.
Lost Name Badge
The name badge must be worn at all times during the Congress. Access to the congress facilities will not be granted without a proper name badge. If an attendee loses, misplaces or forgets the name badge, a handling fee of 15 EUR will be charged for a new name badge. Upon handing out a new name badge, the lost badge will become invalid.
Registration Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the ESICM Registration Department by email or fax. The notification must include all the relevant information regarding the bank account to which a possible refund may be remitted.
If the written notification of cancellation is received before the early registration deadline (9 August 2018), 25% of the paid registration fee (net amount only) will be refunded. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date.
Same applies for cancellation of Master Classes, the NEXT Day and Simulation Centre bookings.
Refund requests will be processed after the Congress only. They must be made in writing and sent to the ESICM Registration Department by email no later than 30 days after the Congress (24 November 2018). No refund request will be processed after this date.
Credit will not be given for unattended events or early termination of attendance.
