欧洲人类生殖与胚胎学学会（ESHRE）成立于1985年，其主要目标是促进生殖医学领域的临床和基础研究，增加人们对生殖生物学和医学的兴趣和理解。ESHRE通过组织教学和培训活动及在提高临床和实验室程序的安全和质量保证中提供指导，从而促进临床实践的改进，推动本领域医务人员和基础研究人员的知识更新和专业技能的提高。
ESHRE年会是生殖医学领域重要的年度国际会议，会议聚集了来自生殖医学、胚胎学、内分泌学、遗传学等多个领域内的专家学者，共同讨论最新的研究成果、存在的争议和未来的发展方向。上届年会有来自全球100多个国家的10000余名专业人士参加会议。
