欧洲临床微生物与传染病大会(ECCMID)是临床微生物学，感染性疾病和感染控制领域最大最全面、最具影响力的会议，大会将利用最新的技术呈现最科学的教育计划，包括主题演讲、座谈会、海报会议、教育研讨会、专家会面、展览会等多种形式；世界一流的专家将介绍该领域最新的研究结果并和与会者一起进行探讨，本届会议预计将吸引超过10000名来自世界各地的专业人士参会（上届会议出席人数为12,494人）。

Public transport: 5-day pass
All registered delegates will receive a transportation pass when they pick up their congress bags.
The five-day transportation pass will be valid from the first time of use. The zone A tourist tickets covers the metropolitan area, including the congress venue IFEMA as well as the airport.

The ECCMID 2018 venue Feria de Madrid is accessible from anywhere in the city. The Feria de Madrid station on metro line number 8 is located at the south entrance of the complex. Line 8 also connects the venue to the different terminals of Barajas International Airport.
